The top of this table is made from 66 inch long, one inch thick planks of mesquite cut from the same tree to retain color balance. The top is finished with a coat of furniture oil and three coats of water-based spray on lacquer. The maple cabriole legs have an undercoat of shellac, followed by five coats of ebony stain, a second coat of shellac and three coats of water-based spray on lacquer. Braces are bolted in at the four corners. The piece is 42 inches deep, 66 inches long and 30 inches high.
